Video On Marine Debris Wins Regional Emmy® Award

On Saturday, June 25, our Ocean Today team received a Regional Emmy® Award from the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for the Trash Talk Feature in the Informational/Instructional Program/Special category.

Producer Kurt Mann and editor Tom Shortridge were honored for this 15-minute feature that explains what marine debris is, how it affects our ocean, and what people can do to prevent it. Dianna Parker and Asma Mahdi from the Marine Debris Program both appear in the video, with Dianna taking a significant role in writing the script.
